Work Periods
Our main periods of work are during harvest periods:
· April through to July
· September through to end of November
We do also require staff for husbandry labour throughout the year.
Work Experience
If you think working for us might provide a valuable step in your training and work experience do get in touch. Working with us offers a wealth of experience in different fields; communication skills, food hygiene, QA systems, plant health, staff welfare and so on. Gaining work experience on farm is an enriching experience for all parties and we are happy to consider such applications.
How to Apply
We employ people from all over the world. There are several ways you can come and work for us:
· Most of our student workforce come to us through Concordia, if you are interested in a placement through Concordia please click this link for more information www.concordiafarms.org.uk . Concordia is a SAWS operator for Romanian’s and Bulgarians but you can also apply if you are from a new accession state.
· If you are a student from the UK we would be happy to consider you for work but please do not expect to come just for a couple of weeks – it takes at least a week to get you trained and up to speed – most students stay a minimum of three months. You can contact us directly from the contacts page.
· We will not employ any illegal immigrants nor anyone not holding a current, valid work permit.
· If you are looking for a longer term commitment and have a passion for horticulture we would also love to hear from you – tell us what your dreams are we might have a place for you!
